Dr. Chanchal Kumar Kundu currently holds the position of an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering at Jashore University of Science and Technology. He has more than 20 years of working experience both in the academic and industrial arena. Dr. Kundu attained his bachelor's degree in Textile Technology from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX). He obtained master's degree in two different fields, namely the Applied Textile Management and Textile Technology from the University of Borås, Sweden. Dr. Kundu received his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China, China. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Engineering Research Center of Nanomaterials at Henan University, China, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, and was also responsible for supervising doctoral and master's degree students. Dr. Kundu has more than 50 publications, including peer-reviewed articles, web publications, conference papers, and books/chapters in the national and international level. He is also serving as an Associate Editor, editorial board member and a reviewer in several journals. He is a member of different professional bodies like IEB and ITET. Dr. Kundu’s research interests include the synthesis and application of flame-retardant compounds to textile and polymer materials, nanocellulose extraction, nanofabrication in developing functional properties, and the preparation and characterization of nanocomposites and fiber-reinforced composite materials.
