Md. Habibur Rahman was born in Bangladesh in 1991. He received the B.Sc and MS degrees from Jashore University of Science and Technology, Jashore, Bangladesh, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. He achieved Prime Minister Gold Medal 2013 and University Gold Medal 2012.

Md. Habibur Rahman is working as an Assistant Professor in the Fisheries and Marine Bioscience Department at the faculty of Biological Science and Technology at Jashore University of Science and Technology. He has authored and coauthored more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Md. Habibur Rahman is now PhD Research Fellow at South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences & University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on Climate change, Paleoclimatology, Coral Reef, Bengal Fan, Marine Pollution.
