Internet of things (IoT) is connecting physical objects around us; Sensors which is a device to sense physical property of an element, any events or any changes present in the environment and send information to other electronic device, frequently a computer; are used to monitor those physical objects. Hardware technology developments and wireless communications enable the development of wireless sensor networks (WSNs).
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have enormous impact in our day to day lives. They are experiencing a wide range of applications in various fields, including health maintenance, served and enhanced-living scenarios, industrial and production monitoring, control networks, and many other topics. In future, WSNs are expected to be incorporated into the “Internet of Things”, where sensor nodes join the Internet dynamically, and use it to catch together and take out their tasks. However, when WSNs Suit a part of the Internet, we must carefully investigate and analyzer the security of involved with this integration.
This paper discusses the challenges in integrating WSN and IoT (Internet of Things) for monitoring different environmental attributes. The best ways of integrating WSN and IoT for environmental monitoring are analyzed. The sensor node is developed to monitor environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity and so many. The microcontroller is used for processing, controlling and communicating the information. The sensor nodes are deployed to measure the parameter in the target area. The information is communicated to the world of Internet in one of the best integrating way discussed in the paper. In this paper, we evaluate different approaches to incorporate WSNs into the Internet and outline a set of challenges.
