The faculty of science established in 2013 is one of the most prominent faculties in the Jashore University of Science and Technology. Each department under this faculty offers relevant courses to produce highly skilled graduates with theoretical and practical knowledge. 

The faculty of science started its journey in 2013 with three departments namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Over the years the faculty has undergone significant changes in developing its rich curriculum content and innovative instructional activities. Since its inception, each department under this faculty has been flourished with increase in the number of students and addition of highly qualified faculty members. Established in 2013, the faculty launched its academic activities and admitted students in the undergraduate program in the same year. 

The faculty of science offers four years B.Sc Honour's course and one and half year MS course both in thesis and non-thesis group. In the year following its establishment the faculty has made exceptional progress in teaching and research activities . All the faculty members from each discipline are deeply engaged both in teaching and high quality research in different areas.

Professor Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar was the first Dean of the faculty of science followed by Professor Dr. Ziaul Amin, Dr. A.S.M. Mojahidul Hoque, Professor Dr. Anisur Rahman , Dr. Suman Chandra Mohanta, Professor Dr. Md. Hafiz Uddin Except Professor Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar all other deans were appointed from the departments of the faculties other than the faculty of science. We appreciate their efforts to develop this faculty. They have contributed so much to the faculty of science through their dynamic leadership. The current Dean of the faculty is Dr. Md. Korban Ali who has been appointed from the department of Chemistry under this faculty.

Our faculty is developing tremendously to ensure the quality of teaching and research for the incoming students. The sincere and supportive attitude of the faculty members creates confidence and enthusiasm among the students to reach their goals. The faculty of science in our university provides an excellent environment for studies and carrying out research activities.
