MESSAGE FROM
THE DEAN
Welcome to the faculty of science at the Jashore University of Science and Technology which is one of the most prominent faculty and a great platform for teaching, learning, research and innovation in basic science education. I have the privilege of leading this plangent faculty, a place where curiosity, compassion and intellect combine to prepare our students to meet the future challenges. I feel very honored to share this dean’s message with our reverend former deans of the faculty of science. They have contributed so much to the faculty of science through their potential leadership. Their efforts have guided us to the enviable position we are in today.
We have excellent programs both at undergraduate and graduate levels, a continually growing research reputation that continues to build on the strength of the present faculty members and excellent students who share with us a bright future. Our faculty members from each discipline are actively engaged both in teaching and research activities.
The faculty aims at the development of an educated manpower with practical training and adequate motivation so that they can both build up their careers and contribute to national development which will help to meet the present changes in every sphere of our life. Our aim is to make the faculty a leading centre of academic excellence in the country for developing human resources by providing appropriate skills in view of the challenge of our time. We always provide a state-of-the-art environment for teaching-learning so that every student can explore their potential to become a successful professional to serve the nation. We have well-equipped laboratory and infrastructural facilities. The faculty of science offers a friendly and exciting academic environment.

The Faculty of science of Jashore university of science and technology intend to be a leading institution in teaching and research for basic sciences for serving the community and to be a center of excellence nationally and internationally.
Mission
The Faculty of Science at Jashore University of Science and Technology is committed to excellence and innovation in advanced science-based interdisciplinary teaching and research that is relevant to the needs of society and the nation. Thus we intend to prepare highly qualified graduates to meet the need of the market at large and to conduct researches in pure sciences to support our national development. The faculty seeks to accomplish such a mission by dedicating itself to achieve distinction in teaching learning through designing and offering innovative program to build linkage, collaboration and partnership with various stakeholders sectors in order to create future job opportunities for our graduates. It is our mission to stimulate a dynamic institution that create and disseminate scientific knowledge of universal value through basic and applied researches.
The mission of each department namely physics, chemistry and mathematics under this faculty is to provide modern scientific and quality education through an integrated and balanced education system. We want our students to attain intellectual competence, analytical ability and ethical perfection so that they can contribute to the development of our country in all spheres.
