A native of Jashore district, Sharifuzzaman was born in the late nineties. He completed his SSC from Keshabpur Pilot School and College in 2013 and his HSC from Keshabpur College in 2015. Having earned his BA(Hons) and MA degrees in English language and literature from Jashore University of Science and Technology(JUST), he began his professional career by joining the Department of English at University of Barishal as a Lecturer in September, 2023. In the same year, he was recommended in 41st BCS General Education Cadre. Later on, he joined the Department of English at Jashore University of Science and Technology where he has been working as a Lecturer since October 7, 2023.

His area of interest includes postcolonial literature, geopolitics, translation studies, science fiction as a modern art form and language studies.
