Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Jashore University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD in Accounting from the Institute of Bangladesh Studies, University of Rajshahi in the year 2014. Earlier, he completed MBA and BBA in Accounting and Information Systems from University of Dhaka with excellent academic results. His teaching areas includes Business Reporting, Strategic Management, Corporate Reporting, Organizational behavior, Human Resource Management, Managerial Accounting and IFRS related subjects. His research interest also encompasses financial reporting, Compliance studies on IFRS, causal relationship for both quantitative and qualitative research. Dr. Jahangir is also been assigned with two additional responsibilities; one as a Chairman in the Department of Finance and Banking, Jashore University of Science and Technology and another one as an Assistant Vehicle Administrator of the same University.

Dr. Jahangir has vast corporate job and Government job experiences to his credit. He served for two reported private commercial banks in Bangladesh as probationary officer and executive officer from 2003 to 2005. After that he joined in Bangladesh Civil Service (General Education) in July, 2005 as a teacher in accounting and served for prominent Government colleges in Bangladesh for twelve and a half years. After that, he joined Jashore University of science and Technology in January 2018 and still continuing his teaching and research activities.
