Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh, where he also serves as Chairman of the Department of Finance and Banking. He earned his PhD in Accounting in 2014 from the Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS), University of Rajshahi. Prior to that, he completed both MBA and BBA degrees in Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) from the University of Dhaka with excellent academic results.

Dr. Alam’s teaching expertise covers Corporate Reporting, International Accounting, Strategic Management, Managerial Accounting, Research Methodology, and IFRS-related subjects. His research interests include financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, behavioral finance, and innovation in finance.

In addition to his academic career, Dr. Alam has extensive professional experience. From 2003 to 2005, he worked in two private commercial banks in Bangladesh as a probationary officer and executive officer. Later, he joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (General Education) in July 2005, serving as a faculty member in accounting at several prominent government colleges for over twelve years. In January 2018, he transitioned to Jashore University of Science and Technology, where he continues his teaching, research, and academic leadership.
