Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the Faculty of Business Studies. He completed a Ph.D. from the University of Cardiff Metropolitan, UK, an MBA with merit from London Metropolitan University, UK, and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting with a first-class honors degree from Oxford Brookes University, UK. Earlier, he completed BBS (Hons) and MBS in Accounting from the Islamic University of Kushtia and secured the first-place position in both levels in his class. He won the Chancellor Gold Medal for securing the top position in the Master of Business Studies (MBS) under the Faculty of Business Studies. He also qualified for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) degree, the global accounting professional degree.
He has 18 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels in accounting at different universities in the country. He has a good command of financial accounting, management accounting, and auditing. Kamal's research interests are corporate governance, corporate social responsibilities, social and environmental accounting, corporate reporting, and auditing.
Since joining the department, he has been contributing to enhancing the quality of education. He has a passion for advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and takes pride in assisting young adults in forging their career paths.
