Dr. Md. Korban Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Jashore University of Science & Technology, where he has been a faculty member since 2014. He completed his BSc and MS degree from the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Later he completed his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemical System & Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan. He was a student of the program called "MEXT", Kyushu University, Japan.

His research interest is in the synthesis of biocompatible compounds for applications of various fields, especially in pharmaceutical industries and extraction-separation technology. His specialty covers the research area on synthesis of ionic liquids, drug delivery system, protein and peptide delivery system.
