Mr. Md Abdus Salam holds an MBA and a BBA (Honors) in Accounting and Information Systems. Currently, he is on study leave and is doing an MBA at Illinois State University, USA. Since 2018, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting and Information Systems of Jashore University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. Prior to that, he worked as a Lecturer at the same Department between September 2016 and November 2018.
Mr. Abdus Salam successfully completed both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh in 2014 and 2015 respectively. For his academic excellence in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs of the University, he received two Gold Medals consecutively from the Hon'ble President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
A teaching veteran with more than six years of experience, he has taught many courses at the Department, including Cost Accounting, Financial Management, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Business Statistics. Beyond teaching, Mr. Abdus Salam's research interest mainly focuses on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Environmental Accounting Practices and Disclosures, Financial Performance Analysis, and Forensic Accounting.
A Ph.D. in Forensic Accounting is what he's passionate about, with the aim of conducting cutting-edge research in the future.
