    Biography

    Md. Sarower-E-Mahfuj, obtained his BSc (hons.) in Fisheries from Khulna University, Bangladesh in 2010. Then, he completed his post-graduation (MS) in Fisheries Biology and Genetics from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in 2012. Since then, he worked in international NGO in Caritas as Junior Program Officer from July, 2012 to August, 2013. After successful tenure in Caritas he admitted as a master student for pursuing MS degree in Aquaculture in Ghent University, Belgium through VLIR-UOS scholarship. During the interim period of his Ughent study (2013-2015), he gained sufficient knowledge regarding on aquaculture, aquaculture genetics, physiology of aquatic organisms (fish), fish biology, fish diseases, and larviculture.

    Research Interests: Aquaculture nutrition, fish and shellfish disease, host-pathogen interaction, evolutionary morphogenesis of aquatic organisms (fish), Aquaculture genetics, molecular cytogenetics, and effects of climate change in fishes.

    • Provided training on Crab fattening, cultivation, Compost pit, Bio-pesticides, Plant and Vegetables nursery rearing, Drip irrigation system, Raised bed vegetables cultivation system to Aila, Cyclone and SIDR affected farmers in Bagerhat District of Bangladesh Organized by Caritas Bangladesh.
