    Biography

Dr. Mr. Md. Zohurul Islam has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh since April 2023. Before being promoted to Associate Professor, he was working as an Assistant Professor in the same department from April 2023 to April 2016 and as a Lecturer from April 2014 to 2016.

Mr. Islam completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Khulna University, Bangladesh in the year of 2010. He also completed a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the same University in the year of 2012. During his M.Sc. thesis, he was working on Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer. After achieving a Commonwealth-funded scholarship, Md. Zohurul Islam moved to Australia in mid-2018 to pursue a Ph.D. degree at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). His present field of research is Computational Biophysics. After awarding a Ph.D. degree in 2022, he joined again in the Department of Mathematics in the year 2022 as an Assistant Professor. He is currently working towards the development of optimistic concentration-dependent interaction of glucocorticoids with the lung surfactant monolayer. Mr. Islam has published more than 20 research articles in different high-impact international journals and consequently, his publications have already received more than 160 citations (Google Scholar).
