Gopal Chandra Ghosh has a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Kyoto University and now a Professor of Environmental Science and Technology at Jashore University of Science and Technology. He was a JSPS postdoctoral research fellow from 2009 to 2011 at Kyoto University. Dr. Ghosh is a pioneer in antiviral drugs monitoring and assessment in the environment , and development of their treatment strategies. His recent research activities include low-cost water and wastewater treatment, emerging microcontaminants and microplastics in the environment. His work has been featured in news outlets such as The Discover Magazine, WIRED, The Science, The Asahi Shimbun, etc .
