Dr. Mohammad Nowsin Amin Sheikh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh. He earned his B.Sc. Engineering degree in 2012 and M.Sc. Engineering degree in 2015 from JUST. In recognition of his outstanding academic performance, he was awarded the Prime Minister Gold Medal 2012 and the University Gold Medal 2012.

Dr. Sheikh obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, in 2025. His doctoral research focused on advanced networking and cybersecurity technologies, with particular emphasis on Software-Defined Networking (SDN), network security, and intelligent cyber defense mechanisms.

Prior to joining JUST, he worked as a System Analyst, gaining valuable industry experience in software systems and information technology. He subsequently served as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at North Western University, Khulna, before joining JUST on September 17, 2014.

Dr. Sheikh’s research interests encompass a broad range of topics in computer networks and cybersecurity, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Blockchain Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Attack Detection and Mitigation, Network and Information Security, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT). His research aims to develop secure, scalable, and intelligent solutions for next-generation communication networks and distributed computing environments.

He has published research articles in reputable international journals and conferences and has been actively involved in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. In addition to his research contributions, he is committed to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and academic mentorship. His work continues to contribute to the advancement of networking and cybersecurity research while fostering innovation and critical thinking among future computer scientists and engineers.
