    Biography

Dr. Syed Md. Galib is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh. Before joining JUST, he worked as an Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Information Technology department at Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh.

Dr. Galib finished his PhD from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, in 2015. Before that, he completed his Master of Science in Computer Engineering (specialisation in Artificial Intelligence) from Dalarna University, Sweden, in 2008. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University, Bangladesh, in 2005.

With around 2 decades of teaching experience, Dr. Galib believes that a university teacher should be a learner first. Then he/she should look from the students' points of view. Finally, research would come as his/her responsibility, because knowledge discovery should be the motto of a teacher's life.

Dr. Galib leads a research group named Artificial Intelligence for Development (AID group) within the Department of CSE. His research interests are mostly in the field of Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence applied to social development.
