Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Jashore University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. Dr. Islam completed his Ph.D. degree from Nagasaki University, Japan through Monbukagakushu (MEXT) scholarship program.

He obtained his Bechelor of Science (2008) and Master of Science (2009) degrees from University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He carried out his research work on Environmental and Analytical Chemistry. After completing his Master degree program, he joined as a chemist at a reputed company in Bangladesh named as “Lub-rref Bangladesh Limited” (Website: www.lub-rref-com). He left this job at 16 March 2015 and then joined as a chemist at another lubrication oil company named as “MJL Bangladesh Limited” (www.mjlbl.com) (an affiliated organization of AXXON Mobil, USA). He left this job at 29 April, 2016. He joined as a lecturer at Department of Chemistry, Jashore University of Science and Technology (www.just.edu.bd) in Bangladesh at 30 April, 2016 and got promotion to Assistant Professor at 30 June, 2018. Now, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh.
