Dr. Rubayet Karim has been serving as an associate professor in the Department of IPE in JUST, Bangladesh, since April 2022. He joined Jashore University of Science and Technology in 2010 as a lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering. He earned his B.Sc. degree in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) in 2007 from Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh, and M.Engg. degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) in 2014 from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Dr. Karim receives a prestigious ADB-JSP Scholarship for his Master of Engineering Degree at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Dr. Karim obtained his Doctor of Engineering degree in 2021 from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan. He also received the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) Scholarship from Japan for completing his doctoral studies.
His research interest includes the application of the Markov chain, Markov decision process, renewal reward theory, and queuing theory for modeling and analysis of production-inventory and supply chain systems. His research has been published in various well-known peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of System Science: Operations and Logistics, International Journal of Industrial Engineering Computations, International Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering, etc.
