Besides academic interests, Mr Karim is fairly active in literary activities e.g. blogging, writing poems and so on. He was a LOC member of the conference “Green Chemistry for Sustainable Development” held in 22 August, 2012, at JUST.

As a volunteer activities, he was acting as President of QUT Bangladeshi Association (QUTBA) from April 2018 to March 2019. Now, he is working as an executive members of IAH Queensland, Australia.

In personal life, Mr Karim is married. He has two daughters named Rumaisha and Sunaira.
