Rashedul Islam is a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Jashore University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He completed his B.Sc. and M.S. in Chemistry (Inorganic Branch) from Jahangirnagar University-1342, graduating with distinction and conducting research on salinity effects on iron and phosphorus cycling in coastal soils.

Before joining Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), he worked as a research chemist and scientific officer at the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), where he contributed to projects related to environmental chemistry, materials synthesis, and hydrogen energy. His research interests include soil nutrient dynamics under changing environmental conditions, biodegradable polymer extraction from natural resources, and carbon nanotube–based membranes for hydrogen purification.
