Md. Kamrul Islam is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Jashore University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh. He joined as a Lecturer in the same Department in October, 2013. He passed SSC and HSC under the Education Board of Rajshahi with GPA 5.00 in the years 2004 and 2006 respectively. He completed his B.Sc. in Petroleum and Mining Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in 2012 with securing 2nd merit position (CGPA 3.64) and M.Sc. in Energy Science and Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) with CGPA 3.72. He pursued his Ph.D. degree from Thammasat University, Thailand. He has more than 12 years of work and research experiences in Bangladesh. His research interest covers a wide range of topics in Drilling Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Well Logging, Petroleum Production Engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering.
