Dr. Mr. Md. Harun Rashid has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh since April 2018. Before being promoted to Assistant Professor, Dr. Rashid was working as a lecturer in the following department from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Rashid completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2011 and a master’s degree in Mathematics from the same university in 2012.

In 2019, Dr. Rashid moved to Beijing, China, to pursue PhD with a fully funded scholarship at Beijing Jiaotong University. After completing his degree, he returned to his home country. During his PhD, his research focused on the transition to chaos in natural convection flows along convectively heated sidewalls with different aspect ratios and fluids. He also proposed a new scaling relation for natural convection along heated vertical walls, supported by numerical validation. Currently, his work focuses on identifying bifurcations in natural convection flows within closed cavities.
