Dr. Md Jahangir Alam is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering (ChE), Faculty of Engineering, at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Jashore-7408, Bangladesh. He received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh, in 2009. He obtained his M.Sc. in Energy Technology from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, in 2014. He earned his Ph.D. in Thermal Engineering from Saga University, Japan, in 2018 and worked as a Visiting Researcher at Saga University in 2019.
Dr. Alam has 12 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of experimental measurement and prediction of thermal properties of working fluids, waste management and water treatment, polymers, nanomaterials extraction and applications, environmental engineering, mathematical modeling, and food security. He has authored and co-authored around 30 publications in international journals and more than 30 conference papers presented in countries including the USA, UK, several European countries, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, India, Singapore, and Bangladesh. Dr. Alam received a prestigious Journal Paper Award from the Japan Society of Thermophysical Properties, Japan, in 2018. He has served as a principal investigator and co-investigator for several research projects and grants. He has supervised and co-supervised more than ten graduate and postgraduate students.
