    Biography

    Kazi Md Amran Hossain is a full-time faculty member at JUST, a Musculoskeletal sinologist, and the founder of 'Amran's School of Thoughts', a volunteer platform for healthcare professionals. He holds a leadership position in the Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association and several specialized platforms of global physiotherapy. His research focuses on Long COVID, Musculoskeletal medicine, and Mental health. In 2024, he completed a project helping women with lumbar disc herniation and cauda equina syndrome funded by the University of Brighton, UK as “Official Development Assistance- ODA” grant. He is one of the pioneers of mental health first aid services for the university students at Jashore, Bangladesh.

     

    Besides working as an educator, he is a collaborative researcher at NHS- UK and DNDi; and has been awarded 4 International R & I award from ASCoN (2020), SCS Gold medal (2021), Australia Award Fellowship (2018) & EKHUFT-NHS (2021). Dr. Amran is the Equality, diversity, belonging co-director of the Long COVID Physio international forum.
