Chitra Lekha Karmaker received her M.Sc. and PhD in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017 and 2026, respectively. She previously served as a Lecturer in the Department of KMT at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and is now an Assistant Professor.

Her primary research interests include social media analytics, data science, and risk management, with a focus on social media and information supply chains, particularly rumor control, sentiment analysis, and decision-making under uncertainty. Her research also extends to supply chain and information supply chain risk management, where she applies data-driven and optimization-based approaches to support effective and sustainable decision-making.
