Chitra Lekha Karmaker has received both her B.Sc. and M.Sc. Engineering in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017 and 2013 respectively. She served as a Lecturer, in the Department of KMT at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) from March 2013 to September 2013. At present, she is doing her Ph.D. in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Her research interests lie in Optimization, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Supply Chain (SC) risk management. To optimize the SC and to achieve Sustainable Supply Chain (SSC) objectives, her research attempts include the application of different operational research tools and techniques as well as several multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approaches to SC/SC risk mitigation and decision-making. She is also interested in social media analytics.
