    Biography

From my childhood, I was interested on life and science. I was eager to know how nature works and maintain its life forces. When I have to know about Biology in my S.S.C. & H.S.C., my curiosity was just becoming more intense, I was so interested on the genetic diversity and maintenance of the human body and other life forms. It was only then when I was graduating in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the mysteries were unfolding before my eyes. I take this subject not as a subject or profession but as a passion and will continue this enthralling journey throughout my whole life.

Currently I am working on Campylobacter jejuni mediated polyneuropathy Guillain-Barre syndrome. Specifically, I work on identification of molecular, cellular and nutritional factor that responsible for IVIG resistance in GBS patient. I am also working on genetic polymorphism and GBS susceptibility among Bangladeshi population. Simultaneously, I working on human microbiome and their diversity in GBS. My intellectual input was appreciated to get research grant from different organization eg. ICGEB, NIH. Previously in my M.S thesis and after the M.S thesis I am working on novel source of anticancer drug taxol and their efficacy on HeLa cell line. I was also working on screening, extraction, isolation, identification of epothilone (anticancer drug) and thuggacin, spirangein (antimicrobial compound) from fungus. Actually epothilone, thuggacin and siprangein were at first predicted through chemogenomics method then we detected their presence. Since no established paclitaxel biosynthetic pathway were reported from fungi, I was predicted the paclitaxel biosynthetic pathway in fungus by a novel reverse chemogenomics method, which is now validated by laboratory work. To analysis these large dataset, I am also known to genome assembly, structural and functional annotation through the linux based platform using different programming language. Besides, I was also tried to RNA seq analysis to understanding the flowering pattern of wild type jute variety and compare with cultivar variety which may help us to develop a economically beneficial jute variety to fight against the climate change effect. Previously I was involved a research project entitled with “An in depth study of the different populations of Hilsa fish and their migratory pattern in Bangladesh by Genomics and differential transcriptomics analyses of different organs.” Which may help us to understand their life cycle more accurately in the geological context and banned the hilsha fishing in right time which may lead to increase their production and play an important role in our GDP.
