Mr. Md. Abdus Samad is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh. He was also a lecturer in the same department before getting the upgradation to Assistant Professor.

Mr. Md. Abdus Samad was born in 1987 in the District of Sunamganj, Bangladesh. Obtained S.S.C. degree in 2002 from Govt. Jubili High School, Sunamgonj; H. S. C. in 2004 from Sunamgonj Govt. College; B.Sc. Honours in Physics in 2008 and M. S. in Physics (Thesis) in 2009 from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh.

After graduating from SUST, he worked as an Assistant teacher of Physics in ‘O-Level & A-Level’ at Sylhet Grammar School from 2012 to 2014. Began university teaching career as a lecturer of Physics under EEE Department at European University of Bangladesh-EUB in September 2014. He has joined as a lecturer in the department of Physics at the Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh in March 2017. Became Assistant Professor of Physics in April 2019 at the same University.

Mr. Md. Abdus Samad taught the fundamental courses of Physics include Properties of Matter, Vibrations and Waves, Electricity and Magnetism, Mathematical Physics, Optics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Solid State Physics-II, Materials Science etc.

His areas of special interest include Nanostructure Physics, Nanoelectronics, Preparation and characterization of multifunctional nanomaterials, ferrite materials etc. He has published more than 3 research papers in different prestigious journals.
