Asraful Alam working as a Lecturer in the Department of Food Engineering (Former Agro Product Processing Technology), Jashore University of Science and Technology, Jashore-7408 since December 2023. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MS) in Agro Process and Food Engineering from Jashore University of Science & Technology, Jashore-7408.

He started his career as a Lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Engineering at German University Bangladesh, Gazipur-1702. His research areas include post-harvest management, novel food processing methods, food safety, functional food, extraction of bioactive compounds, utilization of agricultural waste for biodegradable films and active packaging, etc.
