Mst. Sharmin Akther working as a lecturer at Agro Product Processing Technology (APPT) Department since 2023. She has completed her BSc and MS in Agro Process and Food Engineering from Jashore University of Science & Technology. She Passed in BSc with distinction (Chancellor Gold Medal, 2019). She started her career as a Lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Engineering at German University Bangladesh, Gazipur.
Sharmin Akther has research interest in novel food processing and preservation techniques to reduce post harvest loss of agricultural produces. Moreover, she has also inquisitive in food safety and quality , food chemistry, food microbiology, food product packaging and machinery.
