Md. Aliur Rahman is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME) at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh, since May 14, 2022. Previously, he served as a Lecturer at the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), from Feb 2018 to May 14, 2022. Alongside, he worked as a Research Associate at the University of Dhaka and as a Teaching Assistant at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for over 3.5 years. Mr. Aliur earned his B. Sc. in Petroleum & Mining Engineering from JUST in 2017, securing the 1st merit position with a CGPA of 3.79. Subsequently, he obtained an M. Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from BUET in 2022. His academic achievements include receiving the Prime Minister Gold Medal for securing the first position in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, JUST, and the Vice-chancellor award for outstanding academic results and excellence at Convocation-2017. With extensive experience, Md. Aliur Rahman has actively managed multiple research projects, resulting in the publication of nine peer-reviewed journals. Currently serving as a CO-PI in three ongoing national projects, he has actively participated in more than 10 national/international conferences and workshops, demonstrating proficiency in various professional software used in the petroleum industry. Furthermore, he has supervised for 10 undergraduate thesis students and presently serving as a faculty advisor for the JUST SPE Student Chapter (6274), Bangladesh. His research interests primarily focus on Reservoir Modeling and Simulation, Reservoir Engineering, Well Logging, Enhanced oil and gas recovery, CO2 Capture and Sequestration, and Numerical modeling of geochemical processes.
