Rakesh Roy is currently serving as a Lecturer at the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering in Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Bangladesh. He served as a full-time Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering in Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Dhaka. He obtained his B.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and is pursuing his M.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering at BUET. He was awarded with different private and government scholarships for achieving excellent academic results and co-curriculum activities in Secondary, Higher Secondary School, and University levels.

Rakesh Roy has published different research articles in the national and international arena. He is interested in applying modern approaches and techniques in solving different problems arise during machining operations. His research interests include machining (i.e. grinding, turning, milling) parameters optimization, CNC machining parameter optimization, Supply chain decision analysis, ergonomics and safety, etc.
