Message from Chairman

It is my great pleasure to invite you to explore the Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) online through our website. Contribution of science and technology for developing a nation is well known to all. To meet up the diversified demand of people, information and communication technology and biological sciences are playing the key role. University is the most suitable place for education and research. Universities are playing a vital role in building efficient manpower for the development of the country as well as for the global need. With a view to imparting science and technology oriented education in Bangladesh, the Jessore University of Science & Technology was established in 2007 by the Shadhinota Shorok (Independence Road) in Jessore district.

Department's View

Physics was established in 2013. Degree Offered:B. Sc. (Hons.); M. Sc. The program with a major in physics will produce skilled professionals to satisfy the gradually growing global demands of physics experts through which the students can get a broad opportunity in job sections. The purpose of this degree in Physics is to aim at training of new generations to be scientists and researchers who will take leadership position in research, teaching and invention based profession in country as well as in abroad. The emphasis of our graduation program is on education customized to the unique needs of each of our students.

Laboratory Facilities

The department has the fundamental laboratory facilities, which is very important to conduct research based on physical science. The department has already established laboratory for the experimental verification of fundamental fields of Physics such as Mechanics-Statics and Dynamics, properties of Matter, Optics etc.

Graduate Career Options

The employment possibilities for Physics graduates are as numerous as they are varied. Physicists are employed in all scientific fields in home and abroad related to the knowledge of Physics. In home, there are a lot of scopes for the Physics graduates to build-up their career, e.g., Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), etc. may be mentioned here.
